Mag Block Insert

This insert is designed to fit into the mag catch slot in Short Action MPA BA, BA Comp & Hybrid Chassis. This part was originally designed to work with Curtis Custom Vector Actions, for customers who wanted to run AICS magazines (on an AW Cut Action), to eliminate the gap before the AICS mags make contact with the action. However, we have also found these very useful for eliminating feeding issues when a competition shooter is putting weight or pressure on either the bottom or front of their magazine, such as when shooting from a barricade.

When installing these, after you have verified fit and tested with a magazine, we recommend that you remove the insert and place some adhesive to the top flat surface to make contact with the top of the pocket in the mag slot in the chassis. Superglue or similar is recommended.

Slight polishing may be required for proper fit. You will receive (1) Version 1 and (1) Version 2 inserts with each order. Please watch the video below for installation instructions.

Description

MPA Mag Extender is designed for 308 Box magazines built by AICS or Accurate Mag â single feed only. (Will not work with AW Mags). Simply remove the existing floorplate, remove the base insert (from the Accurate Mags only), depress the spring into the mag body, slide the mag extender in place and secure with the included 6-32 set screw. Make sure the mag spring has seated itself flush with the bottom of the mag extender.

Produced from 6061 Aluminum. Cerakote Black Â and laser engraved.

Increases the magazine capacity to 14 rounds.

Specify Magazine Type (Accurate or AICS)/

There is also a version for 6BR case magazines. To get this extender type, please select the appropriate magazine type on the menu. These 4 Round extenders will work with MPA, Freedom Gunworks and PVA 6BR Kits.

This bag rider design, with the included flush cup, was an idea from Dave Preston, winner of the 2015 PRS Series. The bag rider attaches to your MPA BA Chassis, Comp Chassis or BA Lite Chassis that has a threaded three hole pattern in the bottom of the buttstock body. Its general purpose is to allow a consistent management of recoil when using a rear bag.

The purpose the flush cup, as conceived by Dave, is used when shooting certain positional stances when a sling is used to provide support for the rifle. Have the rear connection point on the bottom of the rifle pulls the rifle downward, as compared to side positioned flush cups which can trend the rifle laterally.

This stock was designed for the long-range hunter. Depending on the inlet, the standard weight with a ½” decel pad is 26 to 28 ounces. The fore-end is 1.75” wide at the tip and rounded to a beaver tail that is flat and wide enough to accept a #7 / M24 barrel which is about 1.125″ diameter at the tip of the stock. The grip on the stock is more of a vertical, tactical style, longer than standard with a small palm swell and overall smaller grip than our MCS-T4 stock.

The bottom of the butt has a flat that is about ¾” wide and is true running with the sides of the stock. This allows it to ride very straight and true when using a rear bag.

Weight Tunable MCS Arca Rail System

Weight-tunable MCS Arca rail system comes standard in aluminum with two 1.8 ounce weights. Rail is designed for weight to be moved front to back to achieve perfect balance. The TCS Arca rail will hold a maximum of 8 weights which allows for a maximum total of 2lbs 2ounces to be added to the fore end of the stock. The PRS-TCS Arca rail comes standard with 2 weights — additional weights may be purchased in sets of 2 from our web store.

Weight Tunable 2-Way Adjustable Butt System

Comes standard with 1 10-oz balance weight. The base system without the balance weight adds about 18 oz to the stock, depending on Length of Pull. Optional additional weights can be added for a max rear weight of about 2 lbs 12 ounces. To accommodate the extra stress put on the stock by the tunable weight system, the butt section of the stock is over-engineered with a full wrap-around shell.
